A Spell Well Quiz was conducted for the students of UKG and Class I. Students were selected through a preliminary round. 6 children each from UKG and Class I were divided among 6 teams. Names of the teams were Bingo, Word maze, Riddle, Crossword, Scrabble, Jigsaw.

On 1st February, 2020 Delhi Public School Ruby Park organized its most anticipated event of the year, the annual Junior Fete, Exuberanza, where the teachers and students of classes I-V came together and left no stone unturned to put up fun stalls and game corners.
The mega event commenced with the releasing of balloons by Principal ma’am, Joyoti Chaudhuri and with her declaring the Junior Fete open for all. The teachers and students had put up various colourful and fun stalls such as Tail the Donkey, Memory Game, Bounce and Win, Marble Mayhem, Seven Up Seven Down, Pick Up the Lemon. Other than the game stalls there were various competitions for the students such as Eco Friendly Bag Making for Class II, Kite Craft Competition for Class III, Collage Making Competition based on the different aspects of Kolkata for Class IV. The day also had a lot of celebrations in store not only for the students but also for the grandparents engaging them in games and competitions such as Salad Making, Vegetable Carving, Flower and Chocolate Bouquet Making, along with their grandkids. Children enjoyed the Magic shows which were again held in three separate slots throughout the day. There were even 1 minute games such as Solve the Riddles, Mind Games etc. for parents and elders. The senior students had taken the opportunity to install their own tattoo corner where the children flocked to get tattoos inscribed on them. There were activities such as Water Boating, Mickey Mouse Bouncy, a Toy Train and Thermocol Pool etc. outside. The underprivileged children from Green Leaves School were invited to spend a wonderful day enjoying and engaging themselves in games and activities.

Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Kolkata hosted its 17th Annual Sports Meet of the Pre-Primary and Junior School on 14th January 2020 at Gitanjali Stadium. The magnificent sports extravaganza was graced by the famous chess grandmaster Mr. Dibyendu Barua who was the Chief Guest for the day. The Principal of Ruby Park Public School, Ms. Joyita Majumder, was felicitated as the Chief Guest of Honour. Ms. Sayani Panda, table tennis player and famous footballer Syed Rahim Nabi were felicitated as Guests of Honour.
The Sports Meet began with the wonderful rendition of the song “Try Everything” by Shakira. In her Welcome Address, Principal, Smt. Joyoti Chaudhuri, highlighted the importance of sports in promoting the mental and physical well being of students. After the Flag Hoisting, the meet was declared open and a torch was lit to commemorate the event.
The super enthusiastic flock of Bulbuls and Guides marched down the stadium and impressed everyone with their with perfect synchronisation. Around 1400 tiny tots from the Pre-Primary section took part in the event with great enthusiasm. Innovative races, colourful drill displays including a yoga display were enjoyed by all present there.
Students of Classes II-VI took part in the show events which included Drill, Karate, Aerobics and Yoga display. Various interesting and fun-filled track events were lined up for the students. The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony followed by the vote of thanks. The Sports Meet proved to be a grand success.
Gitanjali Stadium next to Delhi Public School, Ruby Park, Kolkata
Students of Nursery and LKG participated in the Fancy Dress Activity over 3 days. They came dressed up as per the theme given to them. Each child was given a letter / phonic sound / word (e.g. A- apple, B-bird etc).
Students of UKG participated in a Show and Tell Activity. They spoke about their Favourite Toy.
Students of UKG and Class 1 of Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Junior School participated in the Performing Arts Activity, on the eve of Saraswati Puja. Children put up songs, dances and played a few instruments of their choice.
Students of Junior School, ushered in the spirit of Christmas through a Special Morning Assembly. Programme began with a medley of Christmas Carols, followed by songs, dances and recitation. Highlight of the programme was an enactment, ”Santa Has a Problem”. Audience comprised of the students and parents of Junior School. Principal, Ms. Joyoti Chaudhuri graced the occasion and addressed the parents.
Children’s Day was celebrated in DPS Ruby Park, Junior School with great enthusiasm. Teachers put up various programmes for the little ones, which was followed by a Magic Show. Yummy snack boxes were distributed to all the children.
Children tried their hands at making small pots with a potter who came to conduct a pottery workshop with them. They were excited to make beautiful small pots in the potter’s wheel and learnt about pottery making.
Spirit of Durga Puja was celebrated in a Special Assembly in Junior School. The programme was attended by the parent and children of Junior School. Senior citizens from old age home “Navanir” were special invitees. The school principal, Ms. Joyoti Chaudhuri graced the occasion. The highlights of the programme were melodious songs, colourful dances, recitation and enactment.
