Independence Day 2025

Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Kolkata, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a series of inspiring events that captured the spirit of freedom and unity. Smt. Joyoti Chaudhuri, the Principal, the Members of the Management, distinguished guests, teachers, and parents graced the occasion. The event commenced with the Flag Hoisting ceremony, where the esteemed Chief Guest, Col Avijit Das, Commanding Officer of Bengal BN NCC, hoisted the tricolour, and everyone joined in for the National Anthem.

The cultural programme began with a powerful rendition by the School Choir of “Lahrado sarkashi ka parcham lahra do,” followed by a delightful performance by the Bulbuls from Classes 1 to 4. A thought-provoking skit titled “From Struggle to Strength – India’s Vision,” beautifully portrayed the nation’s journey from its fight for independence to its emergence as a modern and dynamic country.

Installation Ceremony

The Social and Interact Club of Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Kolkata held its Installation Ceremony on 28th July 2025 in the school premises. The ceremony saw the induction of the new President -Vaibhav Prasad, Vice President – Omisha Choudhury, along with the team of Interactors. The event was graced by the presence of DICC Rtn. Arpita Chatterjee, President Rtn. Tapan Gooptu, President Elect. Rtn. Vinayak Pasricha, Interact Chair Rtn. Suchitra Basu, Literacy Chair Rtn. Abja Adhikari and Ms. Kajal Lahiri, Principal of Modern English Academy, Barrackpur. The Principal, Smt Joyoti Chaudhuri and esteemed guests encouraged the new members and emphasised on the need to be the torchbearers of the future.

Before the Interactors of 2024-2025 took the final bow, the outgoing President of the Interact Club, Arnav Poddar, presented the Annual Report and passed on the baton to the new one with words of inspiration and a gentle reminder to keep the motto, “Service before Self” and flag of Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Kolkata flying high.

Annual Art Exhibition

The Abanindranath Gallery at ICCR, Kolkata buzzed with creativity and youthful artistic brilliance from July 24th to July 26th, 2025, as DPS Ruby Park, Kolkata, successfully hosted its 3rd Annual Art Exhibition alongside the 1st Annual Art Exhibition of Ruby Park Public School.

The exhibition officially opened on July 24th, 2025, with an inaugural ceremony led by Shri Subrata Biswas, accompanied by the esteemed Principals of both schools, Mrs. Joyoti Chaudhuri (DPS Ruby Park) and Mrs. Mousumi Mohapatra (Ruby Park Public School).

The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities from the art world including Shri Subrata Gangopadhyay, Eminent Artist, Shri Tarak Garai, Eminent Sculptor and Shri Tapas Sarkar, Eminent Sculptor, who served as Guests of Honour.

Their encouraging words and presence truly inspired the young artists and added significant prestige to this vibrant celebration of burgeoning artistic talent. The success of this year’s exhibition underscores the commitment of both DPS Ruby Park and Ruby Park Public School to fostering artistic expression and nurturing the creative minds of their students.

Scholar Badge Assembly – Class XII

Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Kolkata, hosted its much-awaited Scholar Badge Assembly for the academic session 2024-25 on July 6. The ceremony honoured the meritorious students of Class XII who have consistently displayed diligence and dedication, bringing pride to the institution through their stellar performance in the Senior Secondary Examination 2025.

This year’s results reflect an inspiring story of perseverance and excellence with an impressive 276 students secured 90% and above in the aggregate. The toppers who brought further glory to the school include Arnav Poddar and Mitansh Agarwal from the Commerce stream, both with an outstanding aggregate of 99%, Aritro Ray from the Science stream with 98.6%, Brishti Ghosh from Commerce with 98.4%, and Prajecta Sarkar from Humanities with 97.8%.

Adding to these remarkable board results is the school’s laudable performance in the JEE Main 2025 examination, JEE Advanced, NEET and IISER Aptitude test.

Raksha Bandhan Special Assembly

The joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with a special assembly at Delhi Public School, Ruby Park to honour the beautiful bond between brothers and sisters. The event, graced by the presence of the Chief Guest who is the Director of Manovikas KendraMs Amita Prasad, took place on August 8, 2025 in the school premises.

The spirit of Raksha Bandhan was vividly captured by the performances of the little ones through their soulful medley of songs, vibrant dance performances and a tri-lingual skit – ‘Ek Tyohar Aisa Bhi’, reiterating that this bond transcends the boundaries of age and time. The special performances by the students of Manovikas Kendra were a delight. The day ended with a insightful address by the Chief Guest followed by a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

World Heritage Day

World Heritage Day which is celebrated every year on 18th April was commemorated by the students of Delhi public school Ruby Park with an educational trip to Alipore Museum. This enriching experience helped the students to increase their awareness about their surrounding tangible heritage and also gave them a visual insight into the unflinching struggles of our freedom fighters against British rule.
