Delhi Public School Ruby Park hosted a three-day workshop on CCE for upper primary classes. The programme was inaugurated at G.D.Birla Sabhaghar on Friday, 17th December 2010 by the chief guest - Hon'ble Sheriff Mr. Utpal Chatterjee.
Principal, DPS Ruby Park, Ms. Anusree Ghose welcomed the guests and dignitaries.
Ms. Vinita Kher, Director –Council of Education Management, the DPS Society introduced the programme to the teachers and representatives of 19 participating schools. Sister Cyrill, Principal of Loreto (Sealdah) spoke on compelling issues in education and its changes Teachers actively participated in the group activity sessions conducted by Ms. Vinita Kher, Director-CEM, DPS Society and Prof. H.S. Srivastava, former Dean and Head of Department-Measurement and Evaluation, NCERT.
Prof. Srivastava clarified a number of important concepts and highlighted their importance to the teachers during his presentations on Concept of comprehensive and continuous assessment, taxonomies for pupil growth, integrating CCE in the teaching learning process, methods of awarding grades, grading in regard to academic achievement and co-scholastic growth etc.
Professor B.P.Khandelwal presented the certificates to the participants after addressing them in the Valedictory Ceremony on Sunday, 19th December 2010.
